Facilities

The Marngarr Community of Gunyangara (Ski-Beach) has a community Health Clinic funded by NT Health and the OATSIH (Organization of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health), and employs 1 full-time nurse and 2 part-time nurses and assistant. The Marngarr Clinic works very closely with Miwatj Health, a yolngu health organization based in Nhulunbuy, who supplies the community with a doctor's visit 3 times a week.

The community also has a Family Center where smoko and lunch is provided to yolngu workers on CDEP and the council. A child-care is also based at this building with 2 yolngu ladies employed on CDEP. The Family Center is a multi-cultural building which the community uses for other activities as meetings, workshops, disco's, vet's visits etc.

We have a basketball court here and work has also commenced on our new community oval, which we hope to see completed in the very near future.
